For those who want to save their relationship

“A clear eight week plan with exercises that helps to really move forward. It is especially valuable that everything is adapted for couples who do not always have access to therapy. I liked how the author analyzes key topics such as trust after betrayal, emotional distance, conflicts and lack of intimacy. The exercises are simple but profound, well suited for honest conversations with each other. An excellent tool for restoring relationships.”

Helpful and insightful

“I liked the book. My wife and I have been struggling a bit, and I have not had the guts to tell her I bought the book but I have been trying some of the tips. The tip I use personally is the mindfulness meditation section, which I found helpful. I have pulled from the book and have had conversations with her such as the "Danger of Soulmate Thinking", I never thought about this before and I found it to be a good conversation with her. I am hoping to show her the book soon because she seems to like the topics I have brought up in our conversations. I found it somewhat helpful.”

Great resource for at-home, private support

“My partner would never go to therapy, but doing this in the comfort of our own home was something that worked for us! Recommend, especially for those who want self-study and don't feel comfortable in traditional therapy. Probably best for general issues and building a healthier relationships rather than tackling super major problems (like overcoming infidelity or dealing with addiction, etc.).”

Highly recommended!

“Great book to learn how to solve problems with my husband. I think it has great teachings and lessons on how to improve my relationships. We were stucked in survival mode, and didn't even realize that was killing our relationship. Now we are new persons!”

Excellent advice

“Be a better partner - this book focuses on empathy for your partner which is probably the most important part of a relationship. I bought this book for my sister and my brother in law - who are in love, but don't cut each other any slack. I thought the ideas in this book would help them walk in the others shoes. I think its helping.”

Transforming Pain Into Deeper Connection And Resilience

“This book is a compassionate and structured roadmap for partners seeking to rebuild connection, communication, and trust. It brings the essence of relationship therapy into an accessible self-guided format. It offers practical exercises, reflection prompts, and real-life stories that make the process deeply relatable.

It is organized as an eight-week journey. Each week explores a vital theme, such as emotional triggers, boundaries, communication, trust, intimacy, and forgiveness. It guides readers step by step toward emotional understanding and lasting growth.

I liked its perfect balance between empathy and structure. Peterson combines psychology, lived experience, and coaching-style guidance. He creates a framework that feels both personal and effective. The tone is encouraging without being simplistic. Whether couples are recovering from betrayal or simply feeling distant, this book acts as a gentle yet powerful guide to healing together.”
